Caroline is 3!

It's so hard to beleive that this sweet girl is THREE! Overnight she has blossomed from a baby into a BIG girl. She suddenly seems so grown up and independent. I adore her sweet, outgoing personality. She is so curious and observant, smart and funny. Such an amazing gift and blessing to her Daddy and I. We love you, Sweet Caroline!

Special thanks to Popsicles and Pirates for the adorable outfit and Cherry Blossom Photography for the beautiful pictures!!!

Prima Ballerina

Caroline started her first dance class a couple of weeks before her birthday. She was SO excited. She has been "doing ballet moves" for a few months, so we figured she would love it.

I bought her 2 leotards..one pink and one black. Of course, she refuses to wear the black one. "Only pink" she says...
Practicing some stellar moves before her first class...

another ballet pose...

Listening to her teacher on the first day...

It's a tap/ballet combo class. They always do tap first, then change into their ballet shoes. However, Caroline insists on wearing her ballet shoes in the car on the way to class. Even though she always has to take them off as soon we get there :)

I would say she defintiely LOVES it!

4th of July Weekend

These are in reverse order, so this post will be like traveling backwards through time ;)

Our attempts to get a cute pic of our little firecrackers! Not an easy task...

Happy 4th! (as Miles is reading an Easter egg book)

Happy 4th! (As Miles is trying to grab another book)

Happy 4th! (as Caroline is slamming Miles's head down in attempt to "hug" him.)

And last but not least...Happy 4th! (as Miles springs into action to steal Caroline's snack, and she gives him the evil eye.)

Ha ha! Good times ;)

On Monday, We headed to the neighborhood parade and festivities. It was really cute! All the kiddos decorated their bikes and rode behind the fire truck. Then we circled back to the park for free ice cream, bounces houses, and music!

Caroline watching the parade get started...

Miles watching, too...

After watching a little bit, we decided to jump in and follow eeryone. We didn't decorate anything this year, but next year we sure will :)

We enjoyed dinner at Steiner Steakhouse to celebrate Tiff's Bday!

And a day out on the lake with the whole gang...
the infamous Carly and I on the boat

The boys...Joe, Ryan, Jon, and Peter

It was an AWESOME weekend!

Hmmm...

The title of my last post was "So far behind..." Unfortunately, almost 2 months later, I am still so far behind!?!?

I don't really know what the deal is. I want to keep up the blog, because i love having it to look back at. I know the kids will really love it one day, too. But lately, I just haven't made the time for it. I think about the blog. About what I want to post about, and which pictures I want to include, but when it comes to actually getting it done, I seem to run into problems...ha ha!

I am not really sure why...Maybe the lack of routine in the summer, maybe we have been busier than usual, maybe I have just been lazier than usual ;) Whatever the reason for my slacking, I need to snap out of it!

Don't give up on me...If you haven't already ;) I promise to get back on track and get caught up...some day. Hopefully, sooner rather than later!!!

Sooooo far behind...

This might be the most behind have ever been on the blog!?! I promise we are still here, and I have lots to blog about. Just haven't found the time (or the desire) lately :/
I will try to get on it ASAP...Memorial Day, Cozumel, Camp Minnie/Mimi, Miles's 13 month update, McGee Family Reunion, and who knows what else!?!?
Must. Catch. Up.

For now, I will leave you with a couple of pics. Pretty typical of life these days...

Miles eating and Caroline dressed as a princess/ballerina.

Yup, that pretty much sums it up ;)

McGee Famliy Weekend

We had our Annual McGee Family Reunion at Lake Kiowa over the weekend.

It was so much fun to see everyone and to realx and let the kids play :)

The guys (my dad, Jon, and my 3 bros) played golf Saturday morning, so the girls (Sherri, myself, Caroline, and Paul's girlsfriend, Jen) plus Miles, shopped the headed to the playground!

Later that afternoon, we set out on our fishing expedition. After last years, disappointing outcome, Jon and my dad were determined to help Caroling catch a fish.

Miss Jen and Uncy Paul opted to watch :)

So did Uncy Brian, although he eventually got in on the action :)

And Uncy Justin was also along for the ride!

SUCCESS!!!! Caroline caught her first fish!!! She was so excited and not at all scared of it. SHe loved touching it, and even threw it back in all by herself...

Minnie took some cute pics of Mr. M, just chillin in the grass :)

Who knows what she is telling me about...probably bossing me around ;)

Miles 13 months!

Miles officially turned 13 months while we were in Mexico :)

Unfortunately, This is going to be the WORST monthly update ever :( I don't really have many pics (other than the ones I have already posted) And since I am writing this so far after the fact, I can't remember exactly what he was or wasn't doing exactly at 13 months...Poor Miles. Such is the life of the 2nd kiddo I suppose...

A few things I know for sure. HE is the cutest, sweetest, most lovable little guy ever. Really, he is.

At 13 months, he is walking everywhere, and getting faster by the second. He rarely crawls anymore at all.

He knows when you are asking a question, that you expect an answer, so he gives you one. It's always "No." He usually, just shakes his head, but he also says "no" sometimes. It's so funny to us :)

His favorite book is Brown Bear, Brown Bear, and his favorite song is Patty Cake. He will do all of the motions, with a huge grin on his face the whole time. And If Caroline sings it with him? He will practically bust out of his skin with excitement! So cute.

He is a BOTTOMLESS PIT. I am sure I have mentioned it before, but I have to say it again... This kid can eat. And eat. And eat. He eats more than Caroline. He is just always hungry! And not at all picky...thank goodness.

So far, his favorite words are still Daddy and doggie (of course), but he does actually say Mama! Woohoo! He also says: No, Milk, Snack, and Banana (Nana)

Camp Mimi and (Big) Papa

The next half of the week, the Kiddos bunked up with my mom and Alan (Mimi and Papa). Of course, there was never a dull moment at their house either. Making cookies, playing outside, and the traditional trip to ride the carousel!

Caroline spent the day running errands with Papa. She loved being his "little assistant"

Making cookies! I love the way Miles is elbowing his way in there...you go, little guy!!!

No fancy water table? Just improvise with a bowl of water...trust me, they don't know the difference ;)

Jammie time

Thank you, Thank you, Thank you Mimi, Papa, Uncle Paul, GGma, and GGpa!

We are so blessed to have so many people to help care for our little ones while we were away!!!
