Oh Caroline...

SOOOOO, We are in our new house and back online! We are still unpacking boxes and getting settled, but I have to admit, it's coming along.

Amidst all of our moving and unpacking, we had our 36 week ultrasound yesterday. The purpose of this ultrasound was to check her size and position and guess what? Little Miss Caroline is upside down...also know as BREECH. Frank Breech to be exact. Which means her legs are straight up in front of her face...in a pike position. I guess maybe she thinks she is an Olympic diver or something!?!?!?

From what I understand, the chances of her flipping over at this late stage are fairly slim (but I am hoping!) so, we either schedule a c-section or attempt to flip her manually ASAP. This process is called a External Cephalic Version (ECV or Version for short). The doctor literally pushes on your belly and manipulates the baby into a head-down position. I have heard is quite painful, but it's done at the hospital to closely monitor mom and baby, since there is a slight risk of rupturing the placenta, breaking the water, and/or causing labor/contractions to begin. Whew! Big decision! Should we try it or not? Well, we weighed our options and decided to go for it. I go in on Monday and they will attempt to coerce Caroline into the proper position. I am nervous, but also very hopeful! I am willing to try anything to avoid a c-section. So, we will see what happens...

Please pray for us! Maybe when we arrive on Monday, she will have already flipped on her own...maybe...just maybe....

It's Official...We're Moving!

We sold our house and we're moving next week! I cannot beleive it. Many have said we are crazy consindering I am 36 weeks pregnant. But we honestly couldn't be happier! I consider it a huge blessing that we were able to sell our house so quickly (3 weeks). Now we'll move into our cozy little rental here in A-town and patiently (or not so patiently;)) await Miss Caroline's big debut!!! With the house sold, we'll be ready to go wherever the good Lord sees fit, whenever He sees fit to take us there :)
Thankfully, due to my preggo condition, we have hired movers to take care of EVERYTHING! They'll be here to pack everything on Monday, then move us on Tuesday. Whew! I am defintiely feeling like the big winner here...packing is the worst! I can't wait t o get settled in the new place, and most of all get the nursery set up. I'll be sure to post pictures once that is done :)

Summer Fun...Part 2!

Jon's birthday was June 15th, and all of his best friends from high school decided to come to Austin and surprise him! All in all it was a great weekend! Jon was SHOCKED when they knocked on our door Thursday night...he was completely speechless (which as you know, is quite rare). They played on Lake Travis, cooked out at the house, and had a grand old time celebrating Jon's 29th and Matt's 30th birthdays!

Summer Fun...Part 1!

We have had a great summer so far! I figured I'd share some fun photos from our adventures so far...

We kicked off the summer Memorial Day Weekend at the Erickson Lakehouse. This year, Jon organized the 1st Annual Valhalla Triathlon. It was so much fun! We all particpated on some level...thankfully there was a "preggo" division for Diane and I :) It was quite an event, complete with trophies and an awards ceremony!

It's hard to beleive that next year we'll have 5 Erickson kiddos running around at the triathlon!!!! The family is growing exponentially!!!! I LOVE IT!
