Miles's Big Day

Miles got to be the star of the show at his dedication at church. We love our church and loved celelbrating this special day!!!

2 funny stories...

1.) When we were taking the above family pics, Miles managed to fill his diaper. Then it leaked all over Alan AND my Dad. Ha, ha..it was hilarious (to me, not as much to them ;))

2.) Caroline has started referring to my dad as "Little Papa" and Alan as "Big Papa" Obviously, the names are accurate, and this totally cracks all of us up...she came up with it all on her own!

Back to School!

Caroline was SOOO excited to start back to school! She loves her class and loves her teachers so far...yea!

First Day of School

4 months!

Miles is 4 months old!

He is such a happy, mellow, and laid back baby. He rarely fusses, and is full of smiles for everyone :)

He is the drooliest...I mean DROOLIEST baby ever. Whole fist in the mouth, soaking wet clothes, dripping all over DROOL monster.

I am so thankful for my lovey little guy!

4 month stats:

Weight: 15 lbs. 5 oz. (70th %ile)

Height: 25 3/4 in (80th %ile)

Head: 42 1/2 cm (50th %ile)

He had quite a growth spurt in the height department, he must take after his Daddy. And he obviously doesn't take after his Mommy and big sis in the BIG head department...yea for an average sized head!!

Moving...AGAIN!

Yes, that's right folks! The Erickson clan is on the move once more. This time (thankfully) it's for good...Well, at least for now ;)

We are staying in the same 'hood, just moving to a different house and we are THRILLED!!! We have been living in limbo for the past couple of years, not really sure what our next move was going to be. But now, we are committed to staying in Austin and we are putting down roots for real!

I will get pics as soon as we get settled :)

It's a Party in the USA...

We had Caroline's party at Rolly Pollies last weekend and it was SOOO much fun.

There was plenty of running, jumping, climbing, bouncing, sliding, and swinging!!!








She rarely stopped moving, but we did catch her taking a break in the foam pit ;)

Sweet Caroline

Where did my baby go? Caroline has blossomed into such a big girl lately. She truly is beautiful inside and out (Sorry, but I'm her Mommy so I am allowed to brag on her, right?)

I love the way she finds joy and excitement in everything.

I love the way she is always discovering something or learning something new.

I love how curious and adventurous she is. She is up for anything!

I love how social, friendly, and outgoing she is.

I love how sweet and caring she is. She always wants to be sure that everyone is happy and loves taking care of people.

Woohoo! Caroline is 2!

We had a FANTASTIC day of celebrating!

We started the day with a little birthday singing, complete with balloons...

Then headed out for some birthday donuts...

Followed by the ever popular birthday swim...

And ended the day with a action-packed PARTY!

A Date with Dora

Guess who came to town?

Yup, that's right! DORA (and friends)!!!

Of course, we just had to go! We gathered up a few of our buddies to take with us.

It was such a fun mommy-daughter date night :)

Gone Fishin'

My dad got Caroline her very first fishing pole, a pink Dora one, OF COURSE!

She was way excited about it. She ran around the house all morning casting it out and saying "Wind it up, Wind it up" as she reeled it in.

We finally headed out to the kids fishing pond that they (supposedly) keep stocked just for the kids to fish in. We did have any luck, but Caroline didn't care one bit.

Her Dora pole has a plastic pink fish attached to the end of the line, so she just kept putting that in the water and reeling it in. Hilarious. She never got bored!

Miles enjoyed his first fishing experience, too!

He even sported his fishin' hat ;)

I, on the other hand, am not a very skilled fisherwoman. I managed to whack myself in the head with my hook, get the line tangled in itself several times, and finally got hung up in the tree.

Hopefully, Caroline can teach me a thing or two next time :)
